Frequently Asked Questions
Hey friend! Now that you've gotten a chance to take a peek around my website, you may still have a couple of questions for me! Don't hesitate to reach out at any point through my contact page, but here are a few FAQ'S that I can go ahead and answer for you!
2) Do you deliver all of the images you shoot?
My clients get every good image from their shoot! In other words, I am not going to make you pick 5-10 photos or pay for any beyond that amount. The way I see it, if I am going to put the work into photographing and editing, I want you to get the most out of your shoot. That means lots of lovely photos for you to keep! I do cull out any blurry photos or duplicates while editing so that you receive my very best!
1) Are you only available in Kentucky?
While I am available anywhere in Kentucky, I'd be absolutely thrilled to travel anywhere with you! Whether it be a destination wedding or a themed location shoot, we can chat and make it happen! Ask me about special deals & discounts related to destination weddings.
3) What kind of sessions do you offer?
I offer a wide variety of sessions, and I can work with you to customize a session or package to fit your specific needs or vision. Some of the session types I offer: wedding, elopement, engagement, family, headshot, maternity, newborn, Fresh48, graduation, business, product, event, adventure, destination, and boudoir.
Note: (I prefer to keep my boudoir clients' images more discreet for their own privacy, so if you're interested in boudoir, just reach out and we can chat!)
4) What is your photography and editing style?
My editing style is bright and vibrant with a true-to-color basis. I'm not going to distort the colors of your photos, but I want you to feel the sunshine on your face when you look at them! I crave raw and honest moments, and I do my best during shoots to provide the space to make them happen. I base my client directions on each individual client- if you're more comfortable with posing, we'll do it! If you'd rather me simply prompt you and capture the organic love you're exuding, then we'll do it!
5) Do you have a booking fee? If so, what happens if I need to cancel or reschedule?
I currently require an initial payment of 50% of the total session or package price. This secures your spot, allows us to move forward in the planning phase of your session, and ensures the value of my time and effort. If something comes up that requires you to reschedule, I'll do my very best to work with you to find a new date. If you have to cancel the session, I do not offer refunds, but the amount that has already been paid can be applied to any future package or session.
6) How long does it take for me to receive my gallery, and on what platform is it delivered?
Turnaround time depends upon the session length and type, but I have general time frames to give you a good idea. I always provide clients with sneak peeks within the first 24-48 hours; this gives them a tangible representation of the gallery they can look forward to and something to smile about shortly after the shoot! Most lifestyle/portrait sessions are finished and delivered within 2-3 weeks. Wedding galleries are delivered within 60 days of the wedding day. It is delivered through an online gallery straight from my website!
7) Do you retouch photos?
I do not heavily retouch photos for two reasons: I want your photos to look authentic and natural, and I think my clients are absolutely stunning. I do remove non-permanent blemishes (pimples, scratches, bruises) because they won't be there in a few weeks, and I whiten every client's teeth across the board. Your smile is going to radiate and your skin is going to glow, but I want you to still look like YOU! Gentle softening and smoothing can be used as needed or requested, but my overall hope is that your shoot communicates your genuine joy and beauty!
